I can’t get on the Internet – various sanity checks

01. Reboot PC/Laptop

02. Reboot router (BT Hub, Netgear, DLink, Linksys, Zyxel)

03. Reboot local file server, if exists

04. Reboot switch/hub if exists (Netgear, EDIMax, TP-Link, Cisco)

04. Open browser (Firefox, Chrome etc), go to bbc.co.uk

05. In browser, go to

07. Windows Key + R, type “msconfig” without the quotes

08. Go to Tools, select Internet Prot…, Launch

09. In browser, go to the Default Gateway address as seen above

10. If you have smartphone, go to Settings, WiFi, look for router (see 02.)
