The largest aircraft in the world is the UK’s Airlander 10, a hybrid airship filled with helium. It can take off even in 35 knot winds, carry a 10 ton payload and can stay in the air for up to 5 days.
The shape of the structure-less envelope acts as a wing to provide lift and four propellers powered by diesel make it fast and maneuverable. It weighs a net 1 tonne for additional control and stability.
